About

I come from a long line of over-reactors on one side of my family, and a long line of under-reactors on the other.  That should make me nicely balanced, but alas.  I teach, I write, I travel, I obsess, I cook, I kayak, I walk the dog, and as of two days ago, I bike.  Here, I write about all the above, often to distract from what I really should be writing:  a book, an article, or some sort of something or other to justify my academic existence.
